2009 was a crazy year, starting with the death of my father in January 2009 as my husband and I were in the middle of buying our first home. There were several other serious illnesses in my family (is it just me, or is cancer getting as common as the flu?) and ended with the death of my uncle (my father's brother) in January of 2010. I had never seen someone die before... I sold my car to pay off the debt we racked up flying back home for Dad's memorial. Never EVER leave your jewelery with a jeweler to be cleaned. Always stand there and watch. I knew this, but my husband didn't.. So when he took my engagement ring in to be cleaned last Christmas as a surprise present to me.. he believed the jeweler when she said it would have to be left overnight. The place has been in business for years so he thought it was safe. Well, shortly thereafter the stone fell out. Whoo hoooo! My photo is in Country Woman magazine this month! I entered a photo contest they held and while I didn't win, I did receive an honorable mention. Plus, my photo was published along with the winners and other honorable mentions. I'm excited. This is the first time I've had anything published since a college book in 2007 and an Alaska tourist guide a few years back. :w00t:

Hi love your photographs. Could I use the reindeer carabou photo for an art class as a reference picture. I would of course abide by your rules and credit you with ownership of the original image.
Many thanks.
What is you policy on using your stock images as references and selling what I draw or paint? I also post my art on other art sites of mine, with credit on the image.
